STEP 2, Additives
Bentonite Clay
Want a little bit more slip of the razor? Clays like bentonite can assist with this. Keep in mind, some people complain about soaps with clay dulling blades more soaps without clay.
Stamping
We can give your soap that custom look with a custom stamp. Image your customers opening up your soap container and seeing your name and look. This can also be used to push the soap flat in a container.
Color
Not recommended as shaving soap is usually whipped, at least more than cold process soap, and has more opacity. Colors will come out more muted or pastel.
STEP 3, Base Oils and Butters
Shaving Soap is a little different than hand and body soap. We want large bubbles and a thick head (cream). To achieve this we leave out the olive oil and reach for the stearic acid and shea butter. Your formula can include;

STEP 4, Presentation of your Shaving Soap
Are you thinking about a stand alone bar? A round bar that will fit into a mug or bowl? Or a container? Since we are a custom soap manufacturer, these are all possible. If you have an idea that not listed here, please ask about it!
Round Bars or Shapes
Silicone molds are really easy to use as this soap hardens enough for us to remove it after a few minutes. Custom Molds can be created for shaving soap. Cost is going to depend on the design, size and shape. Count on $200 – $500+

Containers
A great way to go because they offer the customer, both the soap and a place to use the soap, all-in-one. Containers come in forms of Metal, Plastic, Glass and even Wood. There are many different sizes. Most shaving soap is made in the 4 oz to 5 oz range. Labeling is easy and you can choose from pad printing or screen printing in higher quantities.
